As I do every day, a few nights ago I said a brief prayer of gratitude for the many blessings in my life.  I thought about how the only thing really missing in my life was that I had lost my childlike wonder.  It suddenly dawned on me that all I needed to do was ask Creator for help in bringing wonder and 'magic' back into my life.  And so I asked ...  

The next evening I went to visit the property that will become the new home for Enlightened Feelings.  As the light faded into darkness I began to see hundreds and hundreds of fireflies twinkling and glowing under the trees and in the gardens.  It was so very magical and serene 

The following evening I went out to my patio to retrieve my cat.  The air was so lovely I lay down on a chaise lounge and inhaled deeply.  I looked up at the night sky.  The stars were so big and bright it felt like I could reach out and touch them.  I saw shooting stars and watched satellites traverse the sky.  I felt so alive and connected to the All

This morning, as I was meditating, a dragonfly came and perched on the patio screen door.  I walked over to the screen to get a closer look  

I could see that the dragonfly was trying to remove a spider web from its head, and its legs were getting stuck to the filament, as well. I asked the dragonfly if it would like assistance.  It nodded.  "Are you sure you won't be scared?"  It nodded again

So, I gingerly slid the screen door open and stepped outside.  The dragonfly did not move.  I leaned close and could see that traces of sticky spider filament were on its wings, trapping cat hairs and fluffs of debris.  One by one I gently pulled away the cat hairs and filament from the delicate wings and legs.  The dragonfly stayed still, even when I tugged on its wings and my fingers were just 1/4" from its face.  It moved only to better position itself so I could access the debris on its body

After several moments the dragonfly was finally free.  It tried out its wings and then circled around and came back, as if to thank me before it flew off

Before I could process what had happened, my office phone rang.  The caller explained that she had always struggled to ask for help when she needed it, but was reaching out now.  I told her about the dragonfly .... If a tiny dragonfly has the wisdom and courage to ask for help when it is needed, and then trust that assistance in whatever form it arrives, then surely we can learn to let go and allow ourselves to be helped

As I hung up the phone I thought about the past three days and the wonderful magical moments that had touched my heart and left me in awe.  I quietly thanked Creator for bringing magic back into my life  ...    

Never doubt that your prayers are always heard!  People often tell me that they don't know how they ever found their way to the Enlightened Feelings website.  It just inexplicably showed up when they need it.  My reply is ... "What did you ask for in the week before you found us?  You see ... Your prayer has been answered."
